Blockchain folks: we have a new and private cryptocurrency based on proof of work, itโ€™s awesome, you should use it!!! ๐Ÿค“โœ‹

Me: So if someone controls 51% of the mining power they become the God of this currency, yeah? And Jeff Bezos could 51% your network for the whole year with 0.1% of the money he made in a day this week? ๐Ÿค”

Stop mirroring your Twitter account to the fediverse, especially these retweets of a single picture without any caption or comment.

We used to say the Web had shrunk to four websites where people posted only screenshots from the other three, let's not add a fifth one to that dumpster fire.

Do not shame folks for being averse towards the terminal. Not everyone is as adventurous or (gasp!) fearless as you.

Example: my partner is averse to using the terminal for fear of making a grave mistake (as anyone learning about linux *should* be). I tell them that they should explore a little bit but to be careful when they do.

@nolan have you seen this happen before?

Well, I did it. I went off and wrote my own emoji picker.

I never really wanted to get this deep into emoji, but I started this project two months ago andโ€ฆ somehow, here I am. nolanlawson.com/2020/06/28/int
